Bri's First Birthday

Our little girl is ONE today!!!! Daddy had to work, so it was pretty much business as usual with mommy. But we enjoyed a typical day. We visited Hunter who is now 3 weeks old and his mom Tricia. Brianna had fun letting Tricia know just how UN- BABY PROOF her house really is..... ( She has plenty of time though!!) Brianna opened up a gift given to her by Brenda... appropriately, horses!!!! In many colors.... they are bath toys which Brianna was quite happy to play with tonight. Here are some pictures of our day today!

Saturday playgroup-- group swim!

We had a swim playgroup today...... but no one brought their swim suits. So it was swim diapers all around!! The kids had so much fun!! It was kind of cold and the babies had goosebumps, but still wanted to play in the water together.... they were so adorable!

Learning new things!

Today we had fun playing with friends. Here is a video of Brianna putting a toy together. Previously she has been able to take everything apart, but only recently is she figuring out how to put things back together. She was very excited with herself! And she is so cute! ( I always say that.....sorry.) Sorry that the video is sideways, I can't figure out how to change that.....

First fruit rollup

Brianna had a blast with her cousins Zech and Grace. They hung out for 2 days while we were in Murphy's mid June. Brianna loved being a "big girl" with her cousins! She ate that whole thing by herself.... and was a little messy afterwards!

My bouncy chair

Here is Brianna bouncing in her chair. She's now grown out of doing this..... she doesn't like to be "stuck" anywhere. But how cute is she here; look at her pointed toes! Maybe she'll be a gymnast!?

I love my new snack cup... now I can eat all by myself! I'm getting to be such a big girl.

Sutter has a friend. Trouble LOVES Sutter... much to the embarrassment of Sutter. It's not proper to be a dog and have a cat rubbing all over you and sleeping next to you!! Poor Sutter.....

Sad News..... Dancer is gone

Today is a very sad day for me. I had to say goodbye to one of my nicest babies yet..... Icandance S.Um , aka Dancer. He was going to be 3 years old in a few days......He was Telli's third baby.

The night before last he jumped over the gate and he fell and broke his elbow. I was hoping that it wasn't broken but deep down I knew. The vet came out to day and the Xrays showed a fracture. It has a very bad prognosis even with surgery and as I've tried to convince all of you, although I love each and every one of my babies, I am running this like a business. I had to make a business decision to put him down. It wouldn't make any sense to do surgery because I could never recoup my costs. Although it's hard to separate emotions and business, I'm doing my best.

I will miss him a ton.... I'd hoped that he would leave here going to wonderful home like his brother, but that wasn't what God had planned for us.

He was so sweet..... when I was saying goodbye with Brianna, he nuzzled her. She just laughed. Thank goodness that she's as cute as she is....that's what is getting me through this.

DADDY's 40th Birthday!

It came and went and he said that he didn't feel too different. Since we were leaving for Hawaii the next day we decided to save our big celebration of Rob's birthday for this summer..... so stay tuned for a BBQ party! But we did make it out to our favorite Sushi restuarant with Steve and Tricia. Brianna tried Eel!! Not sure if she liked it!! ; ) If you go there for your birthday you get to spin the big wheel and win something.... Rob won a beer glass-- which beats his previous win of a bag of rice a few years ago!! It's going to be a great next 40 years!!

First day at the pool

We spent our first day at the pool--- in fact we spent EVERY day at the pool!! Other than hanging out at the resort, we did nothing! But oh was it relaxing. Brianna LOVED the water.... she had a great time. How cute is she in the swimsuit that Mimi got her for Christmas!!??

HAWAII at last!

After a whole day of traveling..... we made it to Hawaii!! Brianna was a little tired, but a total trooper. She even had some big smiles left for us after the arrival. YOu can see in her eyes that she's a little tired though. Our plane ride couldn't have gone smoother..... parked the car in Sacramento and literally walked in the airport and never sat down... we just walked up to each gate and got on!! Then when we arrived, Scott was there to take us to the hotel-- we couldn't have asked for a better travel day.... ALOHA!!!!!

Happy Easter

Brianna and I spent Easter in Napa with the Tappers and had a superb dinner ( Daddy had to work....: ( ..... there is nothing short of extravagant when it comes to a Tapper party!! Brianna got her first Easter basket and LOVED it!! She wore her bunny ears for almost an hour! It was pretty adorable. I know that my daughter takes after the Coit's-- 'cause she is a party animal!! She stayed up until 7:30pm; happy and smiling all afternoon!! We're so blessed to have such a great little girl.... I'm NOT looking forward to those terrible twos.... We're in for it I think!

Pre Easter dinner with the Tappers

The night before Easter, Brianna and I met my mom and dad in Napa. We met the Tappers at the Rutherford Grill and had a wonderful dinner..... Brianna was a trooper... happy the whole time; sat in her high chair, ate her dinner like a "big person!!" Even sampled some mashed potatoes
